高低语境下英汉翻译策略研究

摘要
在全球化趋势不可阻挡的当下,跨文化交际的重要性不言而喻,而跨文化交际又与言语和语境两个因素密切相关.高低语境文化使用言语表达时,对语境依赖程度不同,这会对不同语言的翻译造成一定的影响.从高低语境文化的介绍中引入,对高低语境下英汉语言特点进行分析,并探究造成英汉语言差异的原因,最后对高低语境下英汉翻译策略进行说明.研究高低语境下的英汉翻译策略有助于提高跨文化交际效果,同时也有助于推动不同文化之间的相互交流.
Abstract
The trend of globalization is unstoppable at present.Therefore,the importance of cross-cultural communication is self-evident,which involves not only internal exchanges among the people with different cultural background in the same country,but also increasingly frequent external exchanges between people from different countries.The cross-cultural communication is intricately related to two critical factors:language and context.In high and low context cultures people have varying degrees of dependence on context when expressing ideas in language,which has a certain impact on the translation of different languages.Firstly,this paper introduces the concept of the high and low context culture.Then,it analyzes the characteristics of English and Chinese language in high and low context.Thirdly,this paper explores the reasons for the differences in English and Chinese language.In the end,it explains the translation strategies in high and low context.And it can help improve cross-cultural communication effectiveness,and can also promote mutual communication between different cultures by studying English Chinese translation strategies in high and low context.
