Comprehensive Experiment of Detection and Absorption of Cr(Ⅲ)and Cr(Ⅵ)with"Carbon"of the Indocalamus Leaf
Guided by integration of science and education, the biocarbon and carbon quantum dots were prepared and characterized by the indocalamus leaf of Hefeng,Hubei Province.Indocalamus carbon was used to adsorb Cr(Ⅲ)and Cr(Ⅵ),and Cr(Ⅲ)and Cr(Ⅵ)were detected by Fluorescence quenching. The adsorption and detection process is environmentally friendly. The results show that adsorption of Cr(Ⅲ)conforms to the Weber-Morris model and the adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ)conforms to the quasi-secondary kinetic model by the biomass carbon. Both of them are spontaneous endothermic processes. As a comprehensive teaching experiment for undergraduates, this experiment involves a variety of theoretical knowledge of inorganic chemistry, analysis chemistry, physics chemistry and instrument analysis, includes important links such as preparation, characterization, data processing and adsorption mechanism analysis.Meanwhile,it also incorporates the ideological and political ideas of cultural self-confidence,regional culture and green chemistry. The innovative experiment teaching lasts about 24 hours, which is suitable for experiment teaching of comprehensive chemistry. It realizes the effective application of basic chemistry theory in practice and improves the comprehensive ability of chemistry major students.
