Northeast Asian Literary Interaction:The Chinese Language Allusions in Korean Sijo Literature
Cheong Gu Young Eon is the earliest edition of the extant collection of Korean sijo.It was assembled by the Kim Cheon-taek and published in 1948 by the Chosun Rare Book Publishing Association. The collection contained 580 songs,of which 177 have a significant number of Chinese allusions. The use of allusions is a literary phenomenon arising from the collision of ancient Chinese poetry and literature with foreign literature and is a projection and influence of Chinese literature and culture in the foreign world. Therefore, exploring the use of allusions in Toki's literary works can provide insight into the reception of Chinese poetics in ancient Korean literature and provide a reference for the study of the spread of Chinese literature abroad.
