The Correspondence Between Japanese Auxiliary Word に and English Prepositions
Japanese is an agglomerative language,which means it relies on auxiliary words to show the components and functions of independent words in sentences.It can be said that auxiliary words are the core of Japanese grammar and also the difficulty in learning Japanese grammar.Mastering the usage of Japanese auxiliary words is the key to understanding sentence structure.The auxiliary word に is one of the most commonly used auxiliary words in Japanese.This paper discusses the correspondence between the auxiliary に and English prepositions with a large amount of sentence examples of grammar from the aspects of the meaning,collocation and sentence structure,aiming to help students grasp the usage of the auxiliary に more quickly and firmly through transfer.
