Research on the Cultivation of a Growth Mindset and Psychological Intervention for College Students'Absenteeism
There are several reasons for contemporary college students to be absent from class, such as a lack of goals and motivation, poor resilience to setbacks, lack of self-discipline,and being misled by opportunistic ideas. The basic cause of absenteeism can be attributed to psychological factors and thinking patterns. The theory of"growth mindset"proposed by Carol,an educational psychologist, explores positive effects on the psychological intervention of absenteeism and proposes a psychological intervention model for absenteeism, which is called one center and four basis points. The model focuses on psychological health and uses four aspects as its foundations(stimulating learning motivation, adjusting fixed evaluation systems, improving academic resilience to setbacks, and improving self-discipline in learning). This model can help college students gradually understand, adjust, and consciously train their own thinking patterns, complete the transition from fixed mindset to growth mindset, and then reduce absenteeism from a psychological intervention perspective.
