World War Ⅰ from the Perspective of Environmental History
Introducing environmental history into the study of World War Iprovides a new perspective for research on this war.Investigating the interaction between military activities and the natural environ-ment during World War Ⅰ from different aspects,and deeply exploring the role of the natural environ-ment in the war,the function of natural resources,and the multifaceted impacts of the war on the nat-ural environment,are of great academic significance.To date,the academic community has published some achievements on the relationship between the natural environment and military activities during World War Ⅰ.These achievements have corrected the limitations of previous World War Ⅰ studies that neglected the natural environment.However,there are still many limitations and shortcomings,and further deepening is needed in terms of research regions,environmental elements,and areas of impact on military environmental history.in the future.
