Ecostylistics Over Thirteen Years:Reviews and Reflections
Eco-stylistics research has undergone a development process of thirteen years.Scholars both at home and abroad have reached a consensus on the definition of the concept of"eco-stylistics",yet there are also two divergent views:the"branch theory"and the"dualism theory".Currently,eco-stylistics research has achieved certain results both domestically and internationally,but there is a signif-icant imbalance in terms of overall characteristics academic shifts,representative schools,typical litera-ture,and academic activities.Moreover,there are prominent issues such as unclear concepts,fragment-ed ideas,and lack of methodological unity.Chinese eco-stylistics research needs to actively draw on cutting-edge international research findings and combine them with the ecological wisdom found in traditional Chinese culture,as well as linguistic resources such as the discourse of community in the Chinese context and the diversity of languages in Chinese language life,to carry out localized con-struction and innovation.
