[Purpose/significance]Exploring the emerging topic detection method based on Altmetrics is conducive to making up for the deficiency of the current emerging topic identification and promoting the development of knowledge service and information science disciplines.[Method/process]Starting from the characteristics of emerging topics,the detection process and indicators of emerging topics were designed based on the aggregate score of AAS(Altmetrics Attention Score),and the construction methods were tested and analyzed by combining the third-party results comparison and indicator verification.[Result/conclusion]The emerging topic detection method proposed in this paper has effective recognition results and can effectively identify emerging topics with development potential.
