The Progress of User Experimental Research in Library and Information Science in China Based on Scientometrics and Knowledge Network Analysis
[Purpose/significance]This paper aims to understand the progress and trend of user experimental empirical researches in the field of Library and Information Science(LIS)in China, explore the application law of user experimental research method in this field and guide the sustainable application of this method in this field.[Method/process]Taking 348 relevant empirical literatures from the core journals of CNKI as data samples, this paper uses scientometrics and knowledge network analysis tools to mine and visually ana-lyze the authors, institutions, the number of keywords,co-occurrence networks, topic clustering and emergent words.[Result/conclu-sion]The user experiment method is applied in LIS field more and more widely in China, especially in the research directions of user in-formation behavior, library user service, reading promotion and experience. However, the development history of user experimental re-search in LIS field in China is relatively short, and the cooperation networks between authors and institutions show a trend of"a few con-centrated and most scattered".This paper puts forward some suggestions to further standardize, deepen and expand the research in this field, such as strengthening the education of research methods and improving the standardization of the application of research methods.
