Study on Quantitative Differences in the Hierarchy of Chinese Journal Papers:Case Study of the Field of Library and Information Science
[Purpose/significance]The paper aims to explore the hierarchical differences in quantitative features of Chinese jour-nal papers in the field of library and information science, and provide reference for paper evaluation research.[Method/process]Tak-ing the field of library and information science as an example, the paper obtained data from CNKI and articles reprinted in the RUC Re-print Journal, which were divided into three levels:reprinted journals,CSSCI,and other journals, and analyzed quantitative feature differences from three aspects:citation, funding, and theme.[Result/conclusion]All three levels have made progress in terms of pub-lication volume and funding support, with the third level being the most significant, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to win the fa-vor of the first level;the first level of reprinting has a great promoting effect on the citation of papers, with a high degree of topic differ-entiation and a certain thematic tendency in reprinted papers;the first level focuses on guiding the research topic and research methods for the second and the third level papers, respectively. The hierarchical differences are still significant, but the value of the third level papers should not be ignored. The third level papers have made significant progress in some quantitative indicators, and ensuring the in-novation of papers is the key to improving the quality of the third level papers in the future.
