[Purpose/significance]This study aims to explore the influencing factors and mechanisms of public sentiment in the process of responsibility attribution in the context of misinformation governance.[Method/process]This study uses grounded theory to analyze the relevant literature and data of public sentiment in the French misinformation governance, analyzes 13 subcategories such as"emotional control"and 5 main categories such as"emotional infection",and constructs the influencing factor model of public sentiment in the process of responsibility attribution.[Result/conclusion]In the context of misinformation governance, factors such as misinfor-mation situation,emotion-value control, positive and negative evaluation and attribution style have important influence on public senti-ment reaction, and each factor is closely related to"misinformation situation and information literacy → emotion-value control → emo-tional infection → responsibility attribution"as the logical main line, which can provide a new perspective and enlightenment for further understanding the complexity of public sentiment in responsibility attribution in the context of misinformation governance.
