[Purpose/significance]It aims to explore the feasibility of patent navigation in traditional industries.[Method/process]This paper analyzes the application conditions of patent navigation in traditional industries,summarizes the general rules of tra-ditional industrial upgrading,puts forward the logic and method model of patent navigation application in traditional industries,and takes the Chinese herbal medicine industry as an example.[Result/conclusion]The application of patent navigation to traditional industries can accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries by promoting the transfer and transformation of patented technolo-gies.
