Research on British Intelligence Agencies' Perception of "Threat" to China Based on China-Related Reports
[Research purpose]In recent years, the British intelligence agencies have been continuously conveying the perception of China's"threat"to the outside world, and the analysis of this issue will help China better cope with international challenges.[Research method]Starting from the"China-related Reports"released by the United Kingdom,on the basis of summarizing and concluding the three-level structure of the British intelligence system, this paper analyzes the methods of"focusing","articulation"and"transforma-tion"used by the British intelligence agencies in shaping the"threat"perception of China by using the sociological framing theory.[Re-search conclusion]Through the study,it is found that the shaping of the"threat"to China by the British intelligence agencies is the result of its comprehensive function of pan-securization of intelligence to cater to the United States, creating confrontation with the aid of intelli-gence ideology, and actively designing intelligence to serve political needs.Based on this,on the basis of attaching importance to the trends of the Western intelligence community such as the United Kingdom and the United States,it is necessary to strengthen the construc-tion of intelligence research and judgment, early warning capacity, and also strengthen the construction of intelligence struggle ability and discourse power,so as to cast a solid bottom line of national security.
