Research on the Influence Factors of Internet Rumor-Refutation Effectiveness Based on Meta-Analysis
[Research purpose]The empirical research on the influencing factors of online rumors has not yet reached a consistent conclu-sion.This paper aims to integrate domestic and international independent research samples,dig out the factors that have a significant im-pact on rumors,and provide decision support for online platforms to refute rumors effectively.[Research method]Based on the theory of communication persuasion,a theoretical framework was established,and 38 target pieces of research were obtained through systematic lit-erature screening,and 64 effect quantities,29 718 sample sizes,and 16 factors were obtained for meta-analysis.[Research conclusion]The results show that 12 factors have significant positive impact on the effect of network rumor refutation.Among them,The identity of the person who refutes the rumor has the highest influence intensity,and whether it is original or not has the lowest influence intensity.The research time,rumor type,and interviewee type have a moderating effect,which explains the heterogeneity to some extent.In addition,there are significant differences between domestic and foreign sample comparison studies.Finally,some suggestions are given for impro-ving the effect of rumor-refuting.
