Analysis on the Research Qualityof Official U.S.Think Tanks about Sino-U.S.IC Technology Competition
[Research purpose]Integrated circuits industry is the focus of the Sino-U.S.technology competition.This paper clarified principal advices of U.S.official think tanks on U.S.IC competition,and then estimated their impacts on U.S.actions and the competi-tion trend.The main purpose was to provide references for Chinese think tank construction and boost IC industry development.[Research method]Four typical samples were screened out from the relevant think tanks,and then their main points on Sino-U.S.IC technology competition between 2015 and 2022 were analyzed.[Research conclusion]U.S.official think tanks absolutely proposed consulting ad-vices to support strategic government object of curbing China.Those think tanks affected government decision-making through mecha-nisms such as"revolving door"and extensive research results diffusion.American administration took actions highly in accordance with their advices.However,researches of those official think tanks were short of objectivity and comprehensiveness.Experiences could be learned selectively from U.S.to continuously enhance the research quality of Chinese think tanks in order to underpin government decision-making on IC technology competition effectively.
