Research on the Evolution and Effectiveness of Pakistan's Intelligence Management System Reform
[Research purpose]As an important country in South Asia and China's all-weather strategic cooperative partner,Pakistan is crucial to China's national security and development.Based on Pakistan's severe terrorism situation,the effectiveness of its intelligence management system reform is related to intelligence coordination and counter-terrorism effects,and is critical to safeguarding China's over-seas interests in Pakistan.[Research method]According to relevant historical materials,official documents and regulatory documents,systematically sorts out the evolution of Pakistan's intelligence system,and combines relevant theories of the intelligence management sys-tem with Pakistan's specific practice to analyze the content and effectiveness of its intelligence management system reform.[Research con-clusion]The research shows that although the reform of Pakistan's intelligence management system has been repeated between decentral-ized and centralized types,the coordinated type is still the direction of its efforts.However,due to difficulties such as the turbulence of the political situation that affects the continuation of intelligence reform,the strong suppression of coordination willingness by the Inter-serv-ices intelligence agency,and the complexity of intelligence agencies that increase the difficulty of coordination,it is difficult for Pakistan to realize the reform of the coordinated intelligence management system in the short term.
