The Trend of America's Counterintelligence Activities from the Perspective of Great Power Game and Biden Administration's Counterintelligence Strategy Against China
[Research purpose]To support the long-term great power game between China and the United States,and maintain a strategic initiative position,this paper summarizes the post-cold war evolution of U.S.counterintelligence and examines how the United States re-lies on counterintelligence to support its grand foreign strategy.Based on this,we analyze the Biden administration's counterintelligence strategy against China.[Research method]From the perspective of the systematic analysis method,this paper divides the post-cold war development of the American counterintelligence system into three phases—strategic anchoring,strategic transforming,and the great pow-ers game serving,and focuses on the measures and ideas of America's strategic use in counterintelligence during the current historical peri-od.[Research conclusion]After 2017,the U.S.government's counterintelligence reform was fully aligned with the great powers game.At present,the U.S.government is trying to strategically use counterintelligence tools to comprehensively suppress and contain China.China should actively learn from other countries'experiences in using counterintelligence to promote grand foreign strategy and build a counterintelligence research and work system with Chinese characteristics to better serve the long-term great power game between China and the United States.
