[Research purpose]Since cognitive domain is considered as a new operation domain,Japan continues to strengthen the power in this field by the usage of narrative.It will deepen the understanding of the methods and strategies for Japan to build the cognitive domain power by analyzing the exertion of narrative strategy,which will be helpful for China to form counter-narrative relatively.[Research method]This research takes"narrative strategy"as a analysis framework and summarizes the Japan's understanding of cognitive warfare,also the usage and purpose of narrative strategy in the cognitive domain force construction by using literature analytic method and compara-tive research method.[Research conclusion]Japan prefers to consider the cognitive warfare as a part of information warfare,during the force construction,narrative is utilized to mobilize available resources according to the integrated strategic objective,and to forge consen-sus meanwhile undermine the legitimacy of adversaries.
