Research on the Construction of the Think Tank Knowledge Base Oriented to International Communication
[Research purpose]Knowledge production in the international communication field is related to major national strategies of China and the effectiveness of international communication practice.In order to avoid being trapped in disciplinary disputes,draw up a"jigsaw"of domain knowledge and reconstruct the self-relied knowledge system,this paper aims to establish the core domains and central propositions of international communication with a systematic knowledge project.[Research method]This paper proposed the methodol-ogy of combining core concepts,knowledge rules and application scenarios to construct the thematic domain ontology.By taking the theo-retical transmutation of the global security initiative and the practical events of the China-Saudi-Iran Joint Trilateral Statement as exam-ples,the paper validates the construction of the knowledge base.[Research conclusion]Empirical evidence shows the obvious,feasible and scientifically demonstrable need of collecting,sequencing,organizing and storing knowledge of international communication.Besides,the paper also argues that the construction of an ontology-based thematic knowledge base can serve the production of high-quality,targe-ted and accurate think-tank results,helping build an internally consistent,comprehensive and completely self-relied knowledge system,and better answering the"questions of international communication"of this era.
