[Research purpose]As a special kind of government data with dual attributes of administration and justice,police data contain rich use value in public security and social governance.After more than three decades of running in,EU member states have built an effec-tive implementation framework in the field of police data sharing.A review of this framework can provide a positive reference for regional police cooperation in the context of the the Belt and Road Initiative.[Research method]Conduct text analysis on official documents re-lated to police data sharing released by the European Union,sort out the historical evolution and driving factors of police data sharing,and summarize the basic framework and governance effectiveness of police data sharing.[Research conclusion]The EU has formed a parallel model of technology and rules,combining online and offline.Given the commonality of the concept of police data sharing between China and Europe,we can learn from it and promote the sharing of police data between China and neighboring countries.
