Evolution and Enlightenment of the Role Positioning of the Five Eyes Alliance in American National Security Strategy
[Research purpose]Through analyzing the evolution of the role of the Five Eyes alliance in the national security strategy of the United States,especially after the United States regards China as the primary strategic competitor,the positioning of the Five Eyes alliance brings about the impact on China,and puts forward relevant countermeasures.[Research method]Based on the terms of the Five Eyes Alliance in the National Security Strategy Reports issued by successive American governments,this paper studies the role positioning and evolution of the Five Eyes Alliance in the national security strategy of the United States in different periods by using text analysis and con-tent comparison method combined with relevant cases.[Research conclusion]The evolution of the strategic positioning of the Five Eyes Alliance is influenced by multiple factors such as the change of international situation,the revolution of information technology and the ad-justment of internal relations of the alliance.Since 1987,the Five Eyes Alliance has undergone the role transformation of"the strategic in-telligence center against the Soviet Union-the multi-threat monitoring platform-the center of anti-terrorism activities-the strategic co-ordination body for the game of great powers".As a strategic follower of the United States,the current positioning of the Five Eyes alli-ance impacts the economic and technological order of our country;Implement network monitoring and information suppression in our coun-try;Increased tensions in the Indo-Pacific region.In this regard,China should actively participate in and promote multi-market coopera-tion,enhance the independent innovation and governance capacity of science and technology,enhance the competitiveness and influence of network,information,data and other fields,and maintain and expand regional and international partnerships in order to effectively cope with negative external impacts.
