The Adjustment of U.S.Military Artificial Intelligence Strategy:Motivations,Impacts and Implications
[Research purpose]The U.S.DOD's New Artificial Intelligence Strategy integrates the artificial intelligence,data and digital modernization strategies.It is a milestone event in the deep digital transformation of the U.S.military and will serve as a guide for the mil-itary application of artificial intelligence in the future.A thorough analysis of it will help assess the latest trends in the application of artifi-cial intelligence in military and digital transformation in the United States,providing a reference for China's military intelligence construc-tion.[Research method]Using a combination of text analysis and quantitative analysis,we focus on analyzing the adjustments and moti-vations of the new U.S.military artificial intelligence strategy.We also assess its impact,and then propose countermeasures.[Research conclusion]The U.S.DOD has updated its artificial intelligence strategy to adapt to the rapid development of artificial intelligence,pro-posing a series of new measures in areas such as data,facilities,talent and cooperation.The purpose of this strategy is to further promote the digital transformation of the U.S.military and support its ability to compete against other countries in great power competition.The adjustment of the U.S.military's artificial intelligence strategy will intensify the artificial intelligence arms race,profoundly affecting inter-national security and China's security development environment.
