Users'Switching Intention in Surrogate Information Searching Context
[Research purpose]This study aims to investigate users'switching intention from human-mediated to AI-mediated informa-tion search by examining the affordances of generative AI as a social actor in aiding users in information retrieval and generation.Under-standing this mechanism is important for advancing the adoption and utilization of this technology.[Research method]Constructing the research model based on the Push-Pull-Mooring(PPM)theory,hypothesis analysis is conducted through Structural Equation Modeling(SEM),while an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System(ANFIS)method is utilized to reveal nonlinear relationships among constructs and prioritize their significance.[Research conclusion]This study finds that dissatisfaction with information quality, dissatisfaction with perceived efficiency, technological affordances(interactivity, convenience, immediate benefits),information literacy self-efficacy,cog-nitive inertia, and social influence significantly impact users'intention to switch.Notably, social influence emerges as the most critical fac-tor driving users'intention to switch. These findings offer valuable insights for the development of more robust generative AI and the facili-tation of their adoption and utilization.
