Research on Combustion and Emission Characteristics of Turbocharged Direct Injection Gasoline Engine in Partial Load
An experiment has been conducted on a turbocharged direct injection gasoline engine to study the effects of ignition timing, injection timing and injection pressure on the engine combustion and emission characteristics. The results show that ignition timing has substantial influence on the engine performance, combustion phase and emission characteristics.Injection timing influences greatly the engine performance and emission characteristics, but little on the combustion phase.Injection pressure has little influence on the engine performance and combustion phase, whereas its influence on HC emissions is relatively clear.Under low medium speed and partial load, engine optimum ignition timing, injection timing and injection pressure changing with load is not obvious, the optimum injection pressure increases when engine speed rises.
