In this paper, analyzes how the exhaust gas recirculation technology affects the engine mechanical efficiency and thermal cycle efficiency,and introduces the theories of improvingfuel economy by exhaust gas recirculation technologyin the naturally aspirated gasoline engine.This paper provides the theoretical basis for the future research and application.
