How to implement high bandwidth diagnostic communication for vehicles based on Ethernet in vehicle development is undoubtedly a hot topic among engineers. At present,on-board diagnostic technology has become increasingly mature, but there is no standard development system to constrain it.Based on Ethernet and tests diagnostic functions, this paper is achieving a complete closed-loop operation of the diagnostic ecosystem platform. The use of diagnostic communication over Internet protocol(DoIP)has many advantages, such as faster diagnostic response and shorter time for transmitting large amounts of data. The paper will explains the DoIP function from three aspects:UDSonDoIP database development,DoIP diagnostic communication connection, and DoIP flashing examples, combined with practical cases. At the same time,it will provide a comparative analysis between DoIP flashing speed and controller area network(CAN)flashing speed. The results show that diagnostic data transmission based on DoIP not only improves the data transmission speed between diagnostic equipment and electronic control unit(ECU),but also shortens the transmission time, achieving good data transmission performance, and has certain guiding significance for the development of Ethernet diagnostic technology.
