This paper briefly introduces the setting of"automobile"related majors in the newly revised vocational education catalog in 2021 and the enrollment situation of higher vocational education involving"automobile"related majors in Henan province in 2023.This paper analyzes the problems existing in the rapid development of"automobile"major,such as overheating,uneven basic conditions,unclear characteristics of individual schools,the growth rate of specialty scale exceeding the growth rate of industrial talent demand and the development speed of high-level vocational education.At the same time,the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to properly control the number of"automobile"specialty,strengthen the construction of basic conditions for opening specialty and steadily develop the higher vocational education of automobile under-graduate level.
