Practice of traffic crash prone freeway safety improvement
With the rapid development of urbanization and motorization,road traffic safety issues in China are becoming increasingly prominent,and it is urgent to strengthen the investigation and improvement of traffic crash prone highway.This paper takes a freeway as the research object,and the four-stage technology of"analysis-scheme formulation-implementation-effect evaluation"is applied to improving road safety.In the analysis phase,key problems are found and key sections are identified;During the scheme formulation phase,the consulting unit deepens the program design for key issues;In the implementation phase,relevant units jointly carry out engineering design,complete road construction and project acceptance;In the stage of effect evaluation,the improvement effect is evaluated by the method of before and after comparison.According to the evaluation results,the number of traffic accidents in the two key road sections decreased by 77％and 63％respectively after the completion of road construction,and the improvement effect is significant,which can provide reference for similar traffic crash prone highway.
