Research on the Impact of College Students'Entrepreneurial Activities on Career Development Based on Grounded Theory
Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 14 graduates from Gansu Province,representing a variety of majors across seven universities,who have entrepreneurial experience.Utilizing grounded theory analysis and a three-tier coding system,this study explored the influence of entrepreneurial activities on the career development of college students.The findings indicate that such activities constitute a dynamic process,involving a continuous balancing act between the pursuit of innovative value and the constraints posed by entrepreneurial opportunities and resources.Participants demonstrated a progressive enhancement of their professional qualities through their entrepreneurial endeavors,which positively influenced their career development in terms of employment,entrepreneurship,and further education.The specific impacts are as follows:entrepreneurial activities facilitate proactive job seeking,workplace adaptation,job innovation,and promotion among college students in the employment sector;they aid in accumulating experience,establishing a foundation,honing skills,understanding market dynamics,and building resilience in the entrepreneurial domain;and they foster the exploration,application,and integration of new knowledge,as well as the development of critical thinking and interdisciplinary learning in academic pursuits.This research holds implications for enhancing the career development and entrepreneurship education of college students.
