On the"Revolving Door"Mechanism in Teacher Education
The"revolving door"mechanism describes the role transition of individuals between the public and private sectors, thereby achieving the maximum social value for the individual and the maximized benefits for the organization. The"revolving door"mechanism in teacher education refers to the orderly movement of university faculty and K-12 teachers in and out of related fields of teacher education,to the greatest extent, achieving an organic unity of the practical and academic qualities of teacher education practice.Currently, the obstacles to establishing a"revolving door"mechanism in teacher education include university teachers'disdain for educational practice, the production of educational theories that are out of touch with reality, and a lack of a unified discourse system with K-12 teachers.K-12 teachers,on the other hand, are overwhelmed by their daily work, and their systematic and in-depth study of educational theory is insufficient.Effective mechanisms for constructing the"revolving door"mechanism in teacher education include:strengthening the construction of teacher development schools, forming a positive mechanism for university teachers to serve in K-12 schools, building research partnerships between universities and K-12 schools, and enhancing the integration of pre-service and in-service teacher education.
