Research on the Separation Performance of Non-ionic Organic Pigment Dispersions from Water
The water-based non-ionic organic pigment dispersions were prepared using the non-ionic disper-sant AEO-9,and the effects of p H,temperature, additives(electrolytes and alcohols)on the separation performance of pigment particles from water were systematically investigated. The results show that as the static temperature of the pigment dispersion increases, the dispersibility of AEO-9 towards pigments decreases, which is beneficial for the removal of pigment particles.Under acidic conditions, pigment parti-cles tend to aggregate, making it easier to separate from water. The addition of electrolytes can effectively separate pigments from water, and the more charges the electrolyte carries, the better the separation effect.Alcohols also have a certain impact on pigment separation, with ethanol having the best removal effect and propylene glycol having the worst effect.
