The Development Level and Influencing Factors of Urban-rural Integration in Anhui Province
An index system for evaluating urban-rural integrated development(URID),encompassing eco-nomic,social,and quality-of-life dimensions, was formulated.Entropy weight method and geographic de-tector model were adopted to explore the development level and influencing factors of urban-rural integra-tion in 16 cities in Anhui Province from 2012 to 2021.The results shows that the overall level of urban-ru-ral integration development in Anhui Province has made significant progress, but there are periodic fluctu-ations.Cities in the central and eastern parts exhibit a greater URID,which decreases toward the west, north, and south, highlighting prominent developmental imbalances between cities.Integrated economic development between urban and rural areas(VRA)consistently demonstrates superior performance.Social integration in URA exhibits a fluctuating upward trends, with a slight increase in the level of development of integration between urban and rural people's lives followed by a stabilization trend. The factors that sig-nificantly influence the URID within the Anhui Province include per capita GDP,postal and telecommuni-cation services per capita, and educational support. The impact of rationalization of industrial structure and accessibility appears to be comparatively diminished. Moreover, the combined influence of interacting dual factors surpasses that of individual elements, with the influence gradually stabilizing over time.
