Evaluations on the Functional Value of Coastal Wetlands Ecosystem Services in Shandong Province
The authors did a preliminary research on distribution and types of coastal wetlands in Shandong province based on the datas of Google Earth remote sensing images in recent 2 years,and used the ARCGIS software to estimate the total area of coastal wetlands which was approximately 5 124 km2.The percentages of natural wetlands and artificial wetlands were 35.23％ and 64.77％.The authors divided coastal wetlands into ten types.According to different ecosystem services of coastal wetlands,the authors took different menthods to do preliminary evaluations.The results showed that the total ecosystem services value of coastal wetlands was 330.3 billion CNY which was equivalent to 6.04％ of the GDP of Shandong Province in 2013.The value of material production accounted for 50.70％ of the total value,followed by the value of environmental regulation which accounted for 48.24％,and the value of social services accounted for 1.06 ％.It indicated that coastal wetlands contains high economic and ecological potential,which can bring high economic and ecological benefits.But the value of social service functions was relatively low which needs further attention and development.
