In-flight Modal Identification Technique of Launch Vehicles
Modal parameters are important indicators for respresenting the dynamic characteristics of launch vehicles, and are of great significance in attitude control system design, dynamic load design,ground-to-fight difference research, and system optimization. The time-varying characteristics of launch vehicles are significant due to the rapid fuel consumption and structure separation, and in-flight modal parameters are difficult to describe by finite element analysis or ground vibration tests. Therefore,it is imperative to carry out cutting-edge theoretical research and key technological breakthroughs on the in-flight modal identification.Different output-only recursive identification methods of time-varying modal parameters are respectively proposed based on the time series analysis and dynamic mode decomposition, and subsequently applied to process the telemetry data of a liquid rocket to identify its in-flight modal parameters. Finally, future application prospects of in-flight modal identification technique of launch vehicles are presented.
