Research on Boundary Conditions Influence of Theoretical Model for Bolt Assembly and Disassembly Process
For the research of the assembly and disassembly process of threaded fasteners, the torsional relationship and the axial load distribution of threaded subsets are two important indexes. Both of them have developed mature theories based on thread geometry model and force balance relationship. After the investigation of simulation or experimental research literature, the results of the two indexes are often found deviate greatly from the theoretical solution, even there is no comparison between the results of then and the theoretical solution.Through the calculation of changing the parameters,on the one hand, the nut screwing position will affect the contact pressure distribution of the nut supporting surface, and finally affect the torsional relationship. On the other hand, the radial constraint of the nut will affect the meshing state of the thread pair, and affect the final axial bearing distribution of the thread pair. The purpose of this paper is to save the cost of this kind of research in the theoretical verification stage. For two kinds of nuts, the three-dimensional finite element model of fine thread is established by ANSYS.Then the influence law of these two aspects is discussed by comparing the numerical results. Finally, the suggestion of modeling boundary conditions is given.
