On September 29,2023,Taking into account the IMO2023 Guidelines for the Control and MANAGEMENT of Biological Pollution from Ships to Reduce the Transfer of invasive Aquatic Species(Resolution MEPC.378(80)),New Zealand has developed the CRAFT RISK MANAGEMENT Standard(CRMS)for all ships entering its territorial waters(NZT).CRMS came into force on October 13,2023.Ships calling New Zealand ports should be properly dealt with to avoid delays due to non-compliance with standards.
