The"sandwich"talent cultivation model originates from the British"sandwich"teaching program,which alternates between theoretical teaching in schools and practical training in enterprises,focusing on cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents who meet the needs of the job and the requirements of enterprises.Marine majors are highly practical,requiring high levels of hands-on skills from students.Authentic work experience on ships plays an irreplaceable role in improving the applicability of maritime professionals.This study starts with the connotation of the"sandwich"talent cultivation model,clarifies the problems existing in the"sandwich"talent cultivation model,clarifies the problems existing in the"sandwich"talent cultivation model,proposes countermeasures for optimizing the"sandwich"talent cultivation model,and takes the marine majors of vocational college Y as an example for case analysis,providing references for exploring talent cultivation models for marine majors in higher vocational colleges.
