A novel phase current gradient method for SRM based on subsection chopping control
In order to solve the problems of the traditional current gradient sensorless method of switched reluctance motor, which is not suitable for medium and low speed operation and low output torque,a new phase current gradient method based on voltage chopper and current chopper subsection con-trol is proposed. The proposed scheme adopts the combined control mode of voltage chopping and current chopping, adopts the voltage chopping control mode before detecting the phase current peak value,deter-mines the phase current peak value by comparing the magnitude of the phase current before and after, and obtains the position pulse signal. After the phase current peak is detected, the control mode is switched to current chopping control, which makes full use of the available DC bus voltage and can adjust the current to obtain higher output torque. The sensorless method is applicable to a wide speed range, does not need to add additional hardware circuits, and can improve the output torque of the motor in the medium and low speed range. In this paper, the proposed method is analyzed theoretically, and simulation and experiments are carried out on this basis. The results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the method.
