Research advances on microbial enhanced oil recovery for oil production
In this paper,the microbial populations inhabiting in petroleum reservoirs and the oil-relea-sing mechanisms,field trials of MEOR,and the responses of reservoir microorganisms in the process of MEOR are reviewed.Additionally,the basic scientific issues related to MEOR are expounded from the as-pects of the distribution of nutrients in the reservoir,the microbial growth and metabolism in reservoirs,and the directional regulation of reservoir microorganisms.
