Design and Finite Element Analysis of Surface of Stamping Die for Precision Needle Latch
In order to solve the problem of uneven quality of hand-polished latch stamping dies resulting in inconsistent quality of different batches of knitting needles, the study was carried out by selecting knitting needles with high machining quality of latch spoon surface processing. The three-dimensional point cloud data of latch spoon surface was obtained through CT scanning, and the polynomial surface fitting was carried out to the three-dimensional coordinate data of the characteristic surface. Then, according to the equation of characteristic surface, the stamping die of the latch spoon was designed, and the explicit dynamic finite element analysis of the die was carried out by ABAQUS software. The results show that when the fitting coefficient(R2)of the characteristic surface is 0.994,the fitting accuracy meets the fitting requirements. The stress is evenly distributed on the contact surface of the stamping die,and the maximum stress value is about 750 MPa,and the static strength and fatigue analysis results meet the application requirements. The research provides a certain reference for domestic automatic processing of the stamping die of the needle latch spoon.
