Concrete wall-type anti-collision barrier is not only a key structure to ensure the safe transportation of bridges, but also the most widely used form of bridge anti-collision barrier at home and abroad. With the development of China's transportation industry, the requirements for safe transportation functions of bridges are on the rise. This paper details the development history of China's specifications for the design requirements of bridge concrete wall-type anti-collision guardrails in the past three decades. It analyzes the specific technical manifestations of the improvement of the design requirements from multiple parameters such as structural form,anti-collision level, collision speed and collision load. This paper reviews the changes in design concepts, and summarizes the requirements and perceptions of the performance of bridge concrete wall-type anti-collision guardrails in different periods by comparing the main improvements and improvements of various design methods,so as to make a strong evidence-based prediction for the next stage of improving the design technology of bridge concrete wall-type anti-collision guardrails, and provide reference for the safety practice of engineering projects with similar anti-collision needs.
