ANALYSIS OF VARIATION CHARACTERISTICS OF LOW TEMPERATURE EVENTS IN QAIDAM BASIN IN RECENT 59 YEARS
Based on the winter daily temperature and crop growing season(May-September)temperature data from 9 national stations in Qaidam Basin from 1961 to 2019,the variation characteristics of low temperature events in Qaidam Basin were analyzed. The results show that:(1)The average temperature, minimum temperature and extreme minimum temperature in winter in Qaidam Basin show a significant and rapid rising trend, and the spatial distribution of the average minimum temperature and extreme minimum temperature is lower in the northwest and higher in the southeast.(2)The frequency of low temperature events showed a significant decreasing trend, and the spatial distribution was more in the north than in the south, with great regional differences. The oscillation period of about 15 years is more obvious, and a sudden change occurred in 1994.(3)There were more low temperature events in the 1960s,and then they decreased with the increase of the age.(4)The Tibet Plateau-1 index and the Tibet Plateau-2 index are the main factors affecting the frequency of extreme low temperature events, the active accumulated temperature anomaly A and the monthly average temperature anomaly B.
