Numerical Simulation of Mixed Combustion of Coal and Biomass in 350 MW Supercritical Offset Combustion Boiler
The effect of 10%biomass on the combustion characteristics of a 350 MW supercritical coal-fired boiler under 100%rated load(BRL)was investigated by the combination of swirl burner simulation and boiler furnace simulation. The variation characteristics of temperature field and atmosphere field in the furnace with biomass combustion method, primary air temperature and primary wind speed were analyzed. The results show that the smoke temperature and NO concentration at the furnace outlet are lower than that of pure coal. With the increase of the biomass blending position, the smoke temperature at the furnace outlet showed an increasing trend, while the NO concentration at the furnace outlet showed a decreasing trend. The change of primary air temperature and wind speed in a small range has little effect on the generation of NO at the furnace outlet. In the actual operation of the boiler mixed with biomass, the lower burner should be used in order to restrain the coking of the heating surface at the furnace outlet. From the Angle of reducing NO emission from the furnace outlet, the blending effect of the top burner is better. The research results provide some guidance for the optimization and adjustment of the operation of the mixed biomass combustion boiler.
