Analysis of Oil Leakage Causes of UHV 800 kV Rheo-changing Respirator Based on Siphon Effect
Oil leakage occurred during the operation of 800 kV rheological respirator in an UHV converter station. After power failure,on-site disassembly inspection found that the capsules inside the oil storage tank were damaged. The analysis of oil leakage and mechanism of siphon effect were carried out on the respirator, and the cause of oil leakage was determined to be internal oil intake caused by capsule damage, which reached the excitation conditions of siphon effect during high temperature and heavy load. The oil entering the capsule flowed out through the respirator pipeline, and combined with the analysis results, suggestions were provided for the subsequent operation and maintenance of rheological capsules.
