Effects of seed soaking in the autochthonous bacterial solution on forage grass at different growth stages in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau
In order to screen the strains that promote the growth of forage grass,10 strains of bacteria(Bacillus,Pseudomonas and Serratia)isolated from the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau are selected for preparing the bacterial solution. The seeds of four forage grasses(Elymus breviaristatus cv.Tongde,Festuca Sinensis Keng cv.Qinghai,Poa pratensis L.cv.Qinghai and Poa crymophila cv.Qinghai)are soaked into the solution to explore the effects of bacteria at different growth periods on the growth, physiology and biochemistry of forage grass. The results show that the germination rate, germination potential, root length and bud length of Bacillus subtilis B1 are improved in different degrees during the germination period of four forage grasses. The root length, plant height, fresh weight and dry weight are improved during the seedling stage of potted plants.Pseudomonas sp.B16 has a significant promoting effect on the root length and shoot length during the germination period as well as the root length and plant height during the potting period of four forage grasses. The results of regreening stage show that Pseudomonas B16 significantly promotes the natural height(18.97%~31.25%)and coverage(11.11%~14.63%)of Poa pratensis L.cv.Qinghai and Poa crymophila cv.Qinghai during the stage. Therefore,Bacillus subtilis B1 and Pseudomonas sp.L1-44-08 B16 are the most promising strains with growth-promoting and stress-resistant potential as well as application prospects. The results provides new ideas for the management of grassland and grassland degradation in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau.
