Diversity of periphytic algae and its relationship with water environmental factors of Qinghai Marko River during the wet season
A survey sampling was conducted in August 2022 on the 8 typical basins of Qinghai Marko River to explore quality of water environment in the river. The structure, biodiversity and their rela-tionship with water environmental factors of algae communities were investigated through high-throughput sequencing and multivariate statistical analysis. The results show that there are 2 phyla and 59 genera of periphytic algae in the 8 sampling points, among which Chlamydomonas,Navicula and Pedinomonas are the dominant genera. The range of Shannon-Wiener diversity index of peri phytic algae is 3.03~3.23,the rsnge of Pielou evenness index is 0.56~0.69,and the range of Simpson dominance index is 0.85~0.95,indicating that the stability of periphytic algae communi-ties is high, and the water body is free of pollution or light pollution.Redundancy analysis and corre-lation analysis show that Bacillariophyta and Chlorophyta communities are significantly correlated with ammonia nitrogen(NH4+-N),nickel(Ni),cadmium(Cd),total nitrogen(TN)and lead(Pb),and biodiversity index is significantly correlated with Pb and NH4+-N,indicating that NH4+-N,Ni,Cd,TN and Pb play an important role in the formation of structure and biodiversity of peri phyticalgae community. This study provides basic reference for the preliminary evaluation of water environment quality and comprehensive management of the Marko River basin.
