Investigation and genetic testing of agronomic traits of 208 spring wheat resources
In order to explore the factors affecting the quality and yield of existing wheat varieties and reserve germplasm resources in Qinghai, six important agronomic traits including grain weight, grain size, plant height, growth period,pre-harvest sprouting and polyphenol oxidase activity of 208 spring wheat resources are detected by gene locus detection, and 1 000-grain weight and plant height are measured. The results are as follows:There are 185,109,46,40 and 131 materials carrying QPht-2D,Rht-8,Rht-B1,Rht-D1 and Rht24_AP2 dwarf genes respectively.A total of 141 early flowering materials carry Vrn-A1 gene. The materials carrying grain weight genes TaCwi-A1,Tabas1,TaGS5-A1,TaGW2-6A,TaT6P and grain size QGl-4A genes are 89,139,138,120,118 and 140 respec-tively.There are 56,0,1 and 189 materials carrying TaSdr-A1,TaSdr-B1,TaMFT-3A and Phs1 PHS genes respectively. There are 102 and 132 materials carrying Ppo2-B1 and Ppo2-D1 poly-phenol oxidase activity genes respectively. This study reveals the genetic and molecular mechanisms of agronomic traits related to spring wheat quality and yield in Qinghai, which can provide a basis for the comprehensive utilization of germplasm resources, the development and cultivation of new varie-ties and the scientific and rational layout of varieties in the future.
