Metallogenic characteristics and genesis of Aqiyin gold deposit in the Western section of East Kunlun
Aqiyin gold deposit is located in the Qimantage metallogenic belt in the Western section of East Kunlun. The regional tectono-magmatism is strong, and the metallogenic conditions are favora-ble.However,there has been relatively little research on the gold deposit in the past, and the genesis and prospecting indicators of the deposit are unclear.By studying the geological characteristics and controlling factors of mineralization in the gold deposit, its genesis is explored and prospecting indica-tors in the mining area is summarized. The results are as follows:Aqiyin gold deposit is controlled by a NW-trending ductile-brittle structural belt.Porphyritic syenite provides basic material source for the mineralization. The genetic type of the deposit is a medium-warm hydrothermal gold deposit. The strong tectono magmatic activity during the early Paleozoic subduction-collision orogenic stage provides the power and heat source for the transformation, activation and enrichment of gold source materials. The NW-trending ductile brittle structure provides space for mineral migration,sedimen-tation and enrichment,as well as for mineral hosting and transportation. The mineralization alteration combination of pyrite mineralization, arsenopyrite mineralization, sericite mineralization and silicifica-tion is the main indicator for gold exploration in this area.
