Research on ductile fracture criterion of 7075 T73 aluminum alloy for high-lock nuts
Mechanical properties and stress-strain curves of 7075T73 aluminum alloy for high-lock nuts were obtained through uniaxial tensile tests, and parameters of Swift/Hockett Sherby hardening model of the material were fitted. Two types of notch tensile specimens and three types of notch compression specimens were designed.Fracture strain, average stress triaxiality, and average Lode parameters of the material under different stress states were ob-tained with corresponding finite element model analysis combined. To minimize the error be-tween predicted and experimental values, the parameters of Cockroft & Latham,Brozzo,Rice & Tracy ductile fracture criterion used for 7075T73 aluminum alloy were obtained,to provide theoretical support for finite element analysis of the closing process of 7075T73 alu-minum alloy high-lock nuts and optimization of the closing process.
