Effect of hot rolling reduction on the electrochemical properties of Al0.4Mg0.2Mn0.1Sn anode alloy
The high-performance Al0.4Mg0.2Mn0.1Sn anode alloy was prepared by adding appropriate amounts of alloying elements such as Mg,Mn,and Sn.The effects of dif-ferent hot rolling reductions on the anode alloy activity were analyzed by hydrogen evolution rate testing, electrochemical testing, and constant current discharge testing, microstructure and corrosion morphology observation. The results show that appropriate rolling reduction re-sults in uniform microstructure, reduces grain width, and refines grains.Appropriate hot rolling reduction improves the electrochemical performance of the anode alloy, reduces corro-sion rate, and improves corrosion morphology. At 60%hot rolling reduction, the self-corro-sion rate of Al0.4Mg0.2Mn0.1Sn is the lowest, which is 0.167 mL/(min·cm2).The dis-charge voltage of the alloy at 60 mA/cm2 reaches 1.27 V,and the maximum power density is 53.65 mW/cm2.
